This Saphiret art glass tan to aqua color change knotted 30" beads necklace sb earring set is early 20th century and have a shiny surface as opposed to the 19th century matte finish saphiret cabs. Each hand built bead is approx 8-13 mm and is a delight to see the color change from brick light red tan to aqua. The once rhodium or silver plated J hook shows the brass from age, while the sb 1" long earrings show some plating loss expected to metals that come close to one's skin...

Sold. 20% was donated to Hurricane Katrina survivors via Salvation Army & American Red Cross. In the tradition of hand painted satsuma porcelain or even art glass, one finds this 7 white disc, what looks like silver plated bracelet marked TOSHIKANE JAPAN, with orange rind surface bumpiness, bamboo & bird raised motif that is hand painted in celadon green, gold, black, gray & red. When the secure push v box clasp & chain is engaged it measures 7 1/4 in. inside X 11/16" wide...
Vintage Early Rounds Earthenware Ceramic Satsuma Earring Pair Hand Painted Blue Peach Green Iris & Stems against mellow beige crazed background @ 7/8" or 23 mm across.
