Sold - thank you "A"!. A bird doll motif. Vintage tri mixed metal or metales casados articulated parrot non pierced SB earrings with sputnik like radiations or feathers on the head, open mouthed, wearing a flouncy skirt with tinkling bells.
The native peoples often made dolls in the shape of the local animals for the children to play. These are wearing skirts.
Mark: Hecho en Mexico & Los Castillo, Taxco, 33 - presumably the style #33 rather than an assay #.
Wt: 18 grams of sterling or better silver, brass or bronze and copper- a difficult process as different metals fire at different temperatures.
2.5" north to south X 1.18" at the widest bottom of skirt.
Other info: Preowned vintage condition. The SB turn wheels work and hold very well, all articulations move freely, left earring above shows color changes which would come off with proper cleaning and polishing as these show a very dark copper. Two tiny silver dots at back of the hem. Buffing and shining would make them gleam! S-817
