Choose this blue black banded agate or the amethyst seen in image 3 & 4. Both are stamped ORB STERLING and are handwrought pin or pendant brooch pieces, favored by many Mid Century Modernists. Otto R Bade was foreman for Rebajes before starting his own line after buying his former employer's molds when Rebajes moved to Spain.
(A) Blue Black Banded Agate 3 1/8 X 1 7/8", super unpolished condition;
Weighs 23 Grams.
(B) Mystical Vintage Amethyst Pendant caged in silver and stamped signed: ORB STERling. Mid century styling.
3 1/8" X 1 5/8" and weighs 1.2 Oz or 35 Grams.
The self bail is 10mm and will go well on your omega, cord or chain.
The large Amethyst gem which is 45 mm X 20 mm shows a 'planed' area at upper right which is normal for quartz stones such as amethyst and only gives the stone more natural interest. Still in it's unpolished condition.
